Hair Intentions team shaves heads as part of Shave for a Cure

Earlier this month, a team of stylists from the Hair Intentions team volunteered to shave heads in support of Leukaemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand (LBC)'s annual Shave for a Cure event. The event was held at Westfield's Albany and was sponsored by Farmer's

Melvin, Holly and Myka spent the morning getting creative by cutting dozens of people's hair into mullets, mohawks and traditional buzz cuts in exchange for $40+ donations to LBC. For those who weren't daring enough to get chopped, the team was also applying temporary coloured hairspray for a $10 donation.

"It was such a fun time to give back to those who are experiencing cancer across Aotearoa New Zealand," said Melvin Vongprem, owner of Hair Intentions, a salon in Rothesay Bay, on Auckland's North Shore. "I think everyone has been impacted by cancer in one way or another. It's important that we do our small part towards finding a cure."

If you'd like to contribute to support LBC, you can do so by visiting their website, or by contributing to the Farmer's Albany fundraising page

Thanks to all who has already donated! Every dollar helps. See you next year!
